A provision of a legal document that a data point rests on.

role: LegalSourceRole!: What the provision contributes to the value, see LegalSourceRole.
provision: String!: The exact location within the document, as it would be cited, for example § 1 Absatz 1.

Provided in the language of the document, which for the current catalog is German.
document: Document!: The document containing the provision.

The same document can appear in several legal sources of a data point, with different provisions and roles.
binding: Boolean: Whether the provision fixes the amount with legal effect of its own.

true means the provision is constitutive: the published amount applies as such, for example the reference value of German social insurance, which is determined by ordinance. false means the provision is declaratory: the amount already follows from a statutory calculation rule and is only announced, for example the base interest rate under § 247 BGB. In that case the calculation rule is binding, and should the announced amount ever deviate from it, the rule prevails.

By convention of the catalog, set for every source with role DECLARING and null for all other roles, which always refer to provisions that are binding as such.
